A Passion for Fashion

Mao Wei is from China and is currently based in San Francisco, CA. She holds a BFA in Fashion Styling at the Academy of Art University from which she graduated in Spring 2023.

Services include editorial styling, personal styling, commercial styling, production styling, photo shoot production, and art direction.

She began studying sketching and watercolor at age 5 with passion and energy. She was captivated by what she wore Since childhood, attaching great importance to the details of her clothes and also others. She believes that fashion should be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or budget. She also loves traveling and draws inspiration from the fashion and cultures of different countries.

It's important to note that while Mao Wei has a passion for fashion, she also has an interest in the occult. She finds the mystery and symbolism behind tarot cards, astrology, and other mystical practices to be fascinating. Mao believes that the occult can provide insights into the human psyche and help people better understand themselves and their place in the world. She enjoys exploring different spiritual practices and incorporating them into her daily life.

While some may see fashion and the occult as contradictory interests, Mao Wei sees them as complementary. Both fields require creativity, imagination, and an understanding of symbolism and meaning. She believes that incorporating elements of the occult into her fashion styling work can add a unique and unexpected dimension to her designs.
